Great location, just a 5 minute drive to downtown Port Vila. Friendly staff, basic but yummy breakfast, comfortable room with great aircon.

Unfortunately the wifi did not work at all during our trip. We had to ask each day for a new wifi code, however we could connect to it and it just wouldn’t work. We ended up using our mobile data instead.

Perfect place to stay, when in vacation with family

Location wise, very secured, and assessable to get public transport, close to town and the main shops. Breakfast was very yummy, my kids loved it, the room is clean and the dinner was just perfect. we enjoyed our stay, and would come back again. Highly recommend for family :)

Needs more maintenance/landscaping and the pool needed to be cleaned

We liked the location of the hotel. We have stayed there before. The business has obviously suffered during the Covid pe

Good location. Pleasant pool area. Comfortable bed. Cooperative staff. Adequate breakfast.

Leaking shower. Loose vanity tap. Air conditioning stopped working. After complaining about these maintenance did fix them. Room needs renovating. Individual packages for breakfast would have been preferred.

Highly recommend for short family/individual vacation or work travel.

Breakfast, room and dinner were excellent. My Kids really enjoy the stay, relaxing before going back to school. Highly recommend also because of the location, close to the CBD, shops, easy to catch public transports (bus & taxis). The Melanesian is very convenient and secured for families. The staffs are very friendly and always welcoming, very good customer service indeed!

We had everything we needed, and BBQ night with the cultural performance was fabulous!

The location was great. It was 10mins walk from the city market, and there was a supermarket 5mins walk away. Having a washing machine and microwave in the room was also very convenient.

The room was tidy but quite mouldy. The water pressure of the shower was very low and it took quite a while to get the hot water to come out.

Satisfactory, it's a nice resort that has a great Sunday night buffet and show. Let down by Wi-Fi.

Good location, bar and pool area, large room

Wi-Fi is archaic. Keeps dropping out and having to get a new p/w every day not acceptable nowadays. Bathtub needs resurfacing and toilet brush needs replacing (101).

Week stay

Walking distance to Port Vila town centre (approx 10 mins) Great for what we needed. I.e. just somewhere to sleep, not a place to just laze by pool resort style. Staff were all friendly and accomodating. Breakfast was OK(toast, cereal,, limited fruit) to get us going but needed more variety

Could do with general clean up as looking tired. Pool whilst appearing clean seemed to have an algae growth (possibly) on surface, so did not chance swimming in it.

Great to be back in Vila

The Melanesian is a lovely place in a great location, wonderful to see Port Vila getting back into gear so soon after the terrible hardships of the last three years. Most of the staff are very professional and welcoming, food good, pleased to be back
